The problem of exhaust gas pollution in workshops also affects rail operator depots. When diesel engines are operated indoors, high exhaust gas concentrations arise in the air we breathe. The exhaust pipes are difficult to reach with manually operated exhaust funnels. In addition, handling the suction components is problematic due to their large diameters and is associated with the risk of accidents. It is also important for vehicle manufacturers not to scratch or damage the exhaust tailpipes of brand-new vehicles.
